Making money isn't a new thing. For ages people have wanted to make money and to make more of it. However, the newest rage is staying home and making money on the internet. Some people thing that it can't be done. Others think that it's easy. Then there are those who wish that they could make money while at home. They often wonder how. How do they make money at home on the internet? Well there are lots of options. However, blogging is one of the easiest options.
Blogging for money takes only a little bit of work. It does take time, but not a lot of work. Blogs originally began as web logs. They were popular for online diary making. In the times since blogs began a new revolution has happened. Blogs are now kept on a wide range of topics and often include information about health, hobbies, and other areas of knowledge. Whatever it is you know you can write about. It is best to pick a blog that has a central topic or theme and then work from there.
You can set up a blog for free at Blogger, Wordpress, or a few others. These are fine to start out with and can make you money. I have found Blogger to be the easiest one to learn and making it simple to add money making options to your blog. However any of them will do.
You can also buy a domain name and choose a host. Adding a blog platform to your site is usually pretty easy and Wordpress is one option. This lets you then write on your own site. You have more control this way, as well as your own domain.
Ads.
One great way to make money with your blog is to add ads. There are really a lot of options out there. You can stick with Google Adsense which is easy and rewarding, but takes a lot of traffic to start making a lot of money. Or you can go with another ad type or company. You can control this as well as the placement of your ads. Using ads is one great way to monetize your blog, but it takes a fair amount of time and energy.
Affiliate Programs.
You can use affiliate programs in much the same way as you use ads. Often these will pay you a portion of the sale, though there are other options out there. Using links from affiliate programs and including banners and buttons can be effective, especially if you make sure your ads relate to your topic.
Sponsored Posts.
Some people choose not to do sponsored posts because of their dilemmas on the topic, however it can be a great option to make a lot of money from your blogs. A sponsored post is one where a company, website, or individual pays you to write about them. They usually want you to say something positive about their product, website, or program. You then write a post according to their specifications and they pay you to do it. There are several middle men types of sites that help you connect your blog with advertisers. These include, but are in no way limited to, PayPerPost, Sponsored Reviews, Review Me, Smorty, Blogsvertise, and CREAMaid.
If these things don't seem like something you are interested in there are other options. Blogging networks will let you make money without having to deal with the ads side of the blog. You can write your blog and either be paid for each post, or a percent of the revenue brought in from your blog. These sites can offer an easy way to make money while blogging, without the headache.
No matter which option you choose you can make money blogging. It doesn't take a lot of work, just some time. You can have fun choosing a topic that is close to your heart. Pick something you have a lot to say about and enjoy writing!
