Self-reflection: Conversations with myself

creatures.

Sometimes they are amusing conversations...like the time I amused myself over the fact that armpits aren't really armpits at all; if an elbow-pit is an elbow-pit, and a knee-pit is a knee-pit...then an armpit is really a shoulder-pit...

I never said all my conversations were clever and witty, sometimes I have stupid conversations with myself, we are all entitled to them.

Conversations with oneself should always lead to higher insight into your own mind and your inner workings; or at the very least provide you with mild amusement and maybe even a bit of laughter.

The best self-reflection I have come to from thinking upon all the conversations with myself that I have had over my life is that a person really can be their own friend. If not their own best friend, certainly a good one. A person really can talk to and comfort themselves, they can understand themselves and give themselves advice. That isn't to say one shouldn't look for company elsewhere...no, no, friends are important...but don't forget that you exist. I have come to appreciate myself and the way my mind works through having conversations with myself. It doesn't make me crazy, in fact...it keeps me sane in a world I am trying desperately to understand let alone keep up with.
