On the evening of the 5th November each year, the UK becomes ablaze with the bright lights of fireworks and the flames of burning fires. We celebrate "Guy Fawkes night."
The variety of colours and shapes of the fireworks are incredible, from the Catherine wheels which create circles of spinning lights, to the multi-coloured rockets which soar high into to the sky to the accompaniment of myriad of sound.
In hundred's of thousands of back gardens throughout the land, the zips, whizzes and bangs of the fireworks mix easily with the sound of children's' laughter and squeals of delight and fright.
Remember, remember, the 5th of November,
Gunpowder treason and plot.
And I see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
