Attempting to define God, attempting being the operative word. God, a word that can stand alone in a sentence, some may say is a myth, some may define God, often known as our Creator, as the core and original matter and source of all living and breathing. I feel the only way that I could possibly give this article my complete essence, heart and spirit, which is the proper way to devote myself to this honorable attempt, is to explain what God means to me.
God since the beginning of time has been a constant mystery yet a familiar love and entity to us all. As a people, some of us may not necessarily have a relationship with our Creator but the knowledge of this eternal entity we of all races and nations have to acknowledge. That undeniable statement alone helps to define the power and magnitude of who God is as related to the human being. The Holy Bible can be considered an absolute biography and reference source of who God is. The Holy Bible states that God is the life force that all of creation as we know of it originated from. God is our Commander and Chief.
I have always had a fascination with religion and God, I fortunately discovered that passion from a very young age. Because of my longing and obsession in this mysterious and utterly exquisite being we know as God, I began my very own search for my equivalent of a personalized holy grail. The Holy Bible calls that seeking the face of God. In my search, I have studied and have become familiar with many forms of religions and human dedications to God. One of the most memorable descriptions of who God is in relationship to the Universe, I discovered in one of the oldest religions known to man which is the African religion of Yoruba. This analogy states that God can be represented as a body of water. We as creation are like particles of that body of water, in mid air as droplets standing alone, a part of that body of water, are experiencing life, when we die we return to that body of water, in a sense we re - return to our original state of being. In simple terms, we are an extension of God experiencing an existence other than him self or her self. We are God, God is us, God is in us; this understanding should not be confused with the notion that we are all gods walking on earth not so. When we stand alone we have no life no purpose if we do not respect and acknowledge and re - member and associate ourselves with our life force our originality and existence will not be validated. God is necessary in order for our individual souls to be eternal and it is imperative to re - connect to our original source for a change of survival. God is Love, God is Life, God connects us all; Miss Whitney Houston said it best in the last stanza of her ever popular love song, " The Greatest Love", I Found the Greatest Love of All Inside of Me.
