play Frisbee till she got hot or tired and she would take her Frisbee and go jump in the stock tank to cool off. when she was ready she would bring her Frisbee and want to play again. She got between my wife and a rattlesnake one time and i am sure probably kept my wife from getting bit. She loved to ride in the pickup too but she wanted to be in the cab, not in the back. She would lay her head on my leg as long as we were moving but when the truck came to a stop, she was up and watching what was going on. She was a good watch dog and one time I was in a store and had the truck parked in the alley behind the store and I always left the sliding window to the back open just a little bit. Well it seems that some Mexican decided he wanted to check out my tool box. Lacey was through that window and had that guy by the shoulder before he knew what hit him. we heard screaming out the back and went out and she wouldn't let him go. Police came and arrested him. I never new if he was illegal or legal but who cares. Lacey to the rescue.

When we moved to Denver we moved into a town house and couldn't have a dog so my daughter and her husband took her and then they got a divorce and she is now with a friend of my daughters that had two kids who were crazy about her. I still get to see her once in a why. She was my favorite animal so far but I plan to have a new puppy within the next few weeks but I am sure that the new puppy will never totally replace LACEY.
