My favorite animal is any animal that can be a pet. I have had a pet lamb. a pet chicken, several cats and several dogs, plus for a while a had a whitetail deer fawn that I found wounded and nursed back to health and the let go. there were neat things about all of the different pets but my favorite of all of them so far was my registered Black Labrador Retriever "Lacey"
First though let me tell you about my pet lamb. she was the runt of the litter and was sort of rejected by her mother so I bottle fed here and she stayed in the house just like a dog or cat would. We had her trained like a dog and I don't remember her ever having an accident in the house. She would walk on a leash and everything. She grew and grew and got bigger and bigger. Well one day she was laying under the kitchen table and something startled her , she stood up under the table and tipped it over with several of Moms fresh homemade pies on it. Needless to say that was the end of the pet sheep in the house.
We have a cat now that we have had for fourteen years and he is a beautiful long haired tomcat but he sheds all over. He is a beautiful cat but not my "LACEY"

I went to the pound to look at a 2 year old Yellow Lab but when I walked in this little Black Lab female stole my heart and I never even got back to look at the Yellow Lab. Lacey had been the pet of a young couple who got her when she was first taken from her mother for there baby that was on the way. Well Lacey wanted nothing to do with the little girl so the had to get rid of her. She was registered and I had the papers on her but before I got around to get here registered and see about breeding her The neighbors Alaskan Husky/Australian sheep dog took care of it for me. Lacey had nine pups and they were all just as beautiful as their mom. Three black, one white and the other five were sort of a mottled black and white. Four of the black and white ones had blue eyes from the Husky. They were so cute I really wouldn't have mined keeping one of them but I got them all adopted within three hours of taking them to a trade show.
Lacey loved to go for walks and she loved top play Frisbee. She had forty acres to run on but she still would bring me her leash everyday and want to go for a walk. we had some steers and heifers at different time to feed for beef and so I had a stock tank for water for the calves. Lacey would
