Global warming denial patterns

Climate change is a given. Our weather is a dynamic process based on complex processes such that it's a system intrinsic to chaotic variables. Humanities most powerful super computers cannot fully compress enough of these variables to achieve accurate medium to long term forecasts. With this uncertainty the debate on issues of climate are inevitable. This discussion will consist of two lists then a conclusion, the first, a list are arguments that are fueling the debate, the second, a list of difficulties for the lay-person to form an accurate concept of climate change.

The Climate Change Debate.

Man-made carbon dioxide, versus, the suns activity.
Why make such a fuss of co2 emissions when the real driving force behind climate change is sun spot activity.

Whether any change in human activity meant to effect climate change will have anything but a negligible significance.
Is it not a little assumptions of us to think, that by switching our lives towards a carbon neutral existence will as a consequence halt or even slow global warming.

Relying on the old adage "necessity is the mother of invention", the focus should be on dealing with the consequences of global warming rather than the causes.
We should rely on our future ability to cope with changes through innovation and technology rather than wasting time and energy on changing our socio economic model.

The climate change as it portrayed.

That there is a genuine debate going on that requires us to form our own considered opinion. From the Internet to TV documentaries different sides of the debate are shown with equal weight.
This seems to reflect the need for media to attract public interest rather than anything based on the actual ground level serious scientific debate.

Both sides of the debate use the facts to back up their own interpretations, extrapolating from points of consensus to points of contention without due regard to the scientific method used to attain the initial facts.
The intention here is to sway public opinion to a point of a particular emotive response, this is effective only in the short-term over time it harms the integrity of the debate.

To make global warming relevant, global warming is brought in to the sphere of influence of all of us, there by handing control to the individual with all the blame and responsibility that comes with it.
SUV vs. hybrids vs. public transport vs. air travel vs. organic, it seems as consumers we're been encouraged to spend the same but just consume differently.
