'He walks into the room and something in the air changes. I cast my gaze over the crowd and smile to myself as I notice that every woman in the room is trying very hard not to stare at him. He is confident without being arrogant, mischievous, more desirable than chocolate and sensuality floats from him as naturally as his next breath. He is secure and comfortable in his own skin and I know just by looking at him that he has an amazing sense of humour. The man is breath-takingly sexy!'

We all have our own little things that attract us to the opposite sex. As much as we would like to be recognised and appreciated for more than what is on the outside, it is the first thing people see when they look at us. Our aesthetic appeal. Your superficial preference in men may be for height, skin tone or hair colour. Maybe you go weak at the knees for men with brown chocolaty pools for eyes? Or do you have a particular thing for athletically built Adonis types? Whatever it is you prefer aesthetically, it has very little to do with him being sexy.

How he looks is not what makes him sexy. Who he is intrinsically, does.

One of the sexiest things about a man is his portrayal of just how comfortable and secure he is within himself. Genuine confidence. He doesn't need to prove his masculinity because he is completely male. He can charm and flirt naturally and does so without compromising himself or his integrity. He doesn't need to impress, because he is himself. He handles whatever challenges life throws his way without losing who he is.

A man who can make you laugh. Uh Mmmmmm. Now there is something sexy. A man with a sense of humour is a rare find. I think it takes a lot of confidence to be able to make a woman laugh. In case you hadn't heard, we're not easily pleased you know! Being able to laugh requires you to have a certain amount of confidence in yourself because you have to let go. If he laughs with you...even sexier.

A natural mischievous streak (optional) and sensuality all add to him being sexy. I think sensuality is highly under-rated today. A topic all of its own, sensuality is the one thing that does make him even sexier. The word "sensual" is described in the Collins English Dictionary as 'giving pleasure to the body and senses, rather than the mind'. Sensuality has little to do with the more graphic forms of sexuality literally shoved into your face on late night TV or in porn magazines or movies. It is altogether softer and more fulfilling to your senses. A sensual man knows the ins and outs of your body better than you do and that is incredibly sexy.

We all have our personal preferences and sex appeal, just like beauty, can be 'in the eye of the beholder'. So to answer the question, what makes him sexy is who he is inside and how he makes you feel.
