Best spots to find pet treats in and around Boston

Ever wondered where some of the best places to buy interesting and unique pet treats in and around Boston are? Here are a couple that come to my mind when I think about getting my dog Charlie a tasty snack as well as some others for people with different types of pets. Some of these places might have been right under your nose and you never even knew it!

Petcentric sells some of the most unique pet food around. Every time I go in they're always coming up with an innovative new snacks for our lovable companions. The "Love Cruncher" is one of their top-sellers. It's a crunchy snack for dogs that's molded into the shape of a heart. All of the treats they offer are reasonably priced, within the range of $1-$10 per treat. You can find Petcentric at 248 Newton Street.

Another great store is the Polka Dog Bakery located at 256 Shawmut Avenue. It's got all kinds of different doggy treats. Some of them look so good that I sometimes think about trying one! "I get loads of these treats for my dog all the time, and he loves them. The best one is the "Canick" and I like to give him that on his birthday." said Rachael Finger, a worker at the Polka Dog Bakery. "Canick" is one of their top-sellers. Their treats are all well priced, around $1-$8 per treat. Check it out if your looking for something out of the ordinary for your lovable companion.

Stinky's Kittens & Doggies Too is an interesting store that sells pet treats as well. I was surprised the first time I went in there by the huge selection of treats that they have. "Doggies Delight" is one of their top-sellers. It's a candy sort-of treat that my dog really seems to enjoy. Their treats are around $6-$20, well worth it if you want to get your pet something special. Stinky's Kittens & Doggies Too is at 110 Bristol Rd. Somerville.

Last but not least we have Cat's Meow which always offers a nice selection of cat treats. "We love providing customers with awesome treats they can surprise their pets with." said Matt Martin, one of the managers of Cat's Meow. Their prices are noticeably cheaper than other stores, around $.50 to $8 per treat. "Catipop" is one of their top-sellers. It's a treat kind-of like a lollipop, if you couldn't guess by the name, and cats seem to love it. You can find Cat's Meow at 62 Saint Rose Street. If you're looking for a place tailored for cats, this is it.

I hope you get a chance to check all of these places out. I'm sure your pet will be happier if you did and you'll know that you're providing your pet with some of the best treats in Boston!
