If you want to double the profits of any organization it first takes a mindset of increasing profits. One has to be committed and then that same commitment was permeate every fiber of an organization from the CEO's and the owners all the way down to the mailroom. When profits are increased there is money to reward employees and build outstanding career paths along with new products and business technologies.
So a focused leader whose chief objective is to eliminate waste at levels of an organization is a must. The status quo has to be stamped out in all cases. It must be made clear to all employees that it's the organizations goal to be the best in every aspect and phase. Employees are motivated by the fact that leadership has taken a step to be the best. Everyone wants to be a part of a dynamic environment.
If you are always trying to look for ways to make things better and doing away with the attitude of settling then you eventually will arrive at your stated objective. More focus must be put on results and less on processes. There is nothing worse than an organization that continuously , year after year, exercises the same processes because that's the way it's always been done and accumulating less than stellar results. Everyone's attention must be on the bottom line.
Someone has to key in on the costs of an organization. Every cost has to be accounted for no matter how small. The costs that bring in business and contribute to the bottom line have to be put forth to increase revenues while the costs that are used to run the business like consultant fees, rent, and administrative costs should be cut back and monitored consistently. Bringing in business is important when the economy is good as well as bad. It should be your chief objective to spend more money on the costs that bring in business over and above what your competitors spend and cut back on the other costs whenever possible.
There is a saying that some organizations suffer paralysis by analysis which is to say things are over analyzed without action being taken to do the things that contribute to the bottom line. An organization needs to get away from crunching numbers as much as possible, and get busy doing activities that bring in business and contribute to the bottom line. These are all things that will help a business owner or an organization double it's profits.
