Poetry: Eyes

Her eyes like torches lit the way
Through dark and cold, revealed the day

Like sun, like water, like breath and blood
Gave life to hearts once strayed by love

Her smile calls and begs for lips
To touch with passion's blessed kiss

To hold her close could be enough
To stop the world and savor such
Immaculate creations in a world where time is still
And nothing built by man or god could compromise the thrill

She is the answer to the questions that I never thought to ask
And the reason for believing I've found my way at last
Through dark and cold endeavors of a lifetime led astray,
To a place of warmth and wonder, while her eyes like torches lit the way
