The benefits of free trade

Free trade is a tongue in cheek phrase to keep stock investors happy and the unknowing in doubt. Trade will cost one country something. Free trade in America has cost us the middle class entirely. The term out sourcing has all but eliminated those jobs that people once obtained to build a life for themselves. Fact: Factories rather than re-tool and stay current, let a culture of faithful employees die off. The steel industry comes to mind.

NATA, on the surface was good for trade, but it turned out to be the gift greedy mega corporations use to send jobs to foreign countries. Recently I got a new phone and number and from the first day of usage I began to get calls from "Capitol One". You know the one whose commercial ask,"what do you have in your wallet?" They where calling to collect a payment on a late bill. I truly understand this but I have no account with them. I call to notify them.

I am the new owner of this recently obtained number and their must be a mistake. Well, they nicely told me that this information will be passed on to the supervisor and I will be placed on the do not call list. I was pleased with the results, until a half-hour later, they called again and again they told me the same thing. This went on for a week. I finally asked to speak to the supervisors, boss. He tells me he is the highest authority that I can reach, funny who where you passing my problem too? One person finally explained that the number was automatically dialed and it takes 48 hours for it to go through. I suffered through the next 48 hours and you guessed it. They are still calling.

I know, I know why do I just get a new number, by now it has become the principal of the thing. You know how testosterone builds up in us guys and we are going to make it work. The kicker came when I asked where are you located? The answer was India.

Americans got to talk to customer service in India to get a run around. How you like them turnips! This is common practice for the mega corporations. They will pay them $15 bucks an hour and don't have to pay dental, life insurance, medical insurance, pension or cost of living increase. You know those benefits that American Unions fought hard to earn only thanks to Ronald Regan's handling of the Unions, Big Business, new that Big Brother was not going to raid the party.

Americans like Vanderbilt's, Hunts, Ford and Rockefeller's had a simple philosophy. You help me build my business and I'll give you a life time job, with good wages. A job that will pay your mortgage and send your kids to college. Hey, a job that your sons and daughters can come and be a part of, no more.

This attitude made the above mention names wealthy. They created a middle class system that one can strive to achieve. I want to know, how many Bentleys, do the Corporate Boys need? How many memberships in the Country Club? How many sport franchises can you ruin, like the Knick?

O.K that was a low blow, but you get my drift? How many Billions of dollars does it take to make you happy. How many homeless men and women will you drive by all because you want to save a few bucks and put them in your pocket, rather than keep America strong and prosperous?

Folks, Free Trade isn't free and the political dreamers refuse to do anything about it because
they get to much campaign money from the Corporate Boys! "Ain't that a hoot!"
