The first thing you should do when selecting golf clubs is to get "sized up". When you are looking for the clubs, first, find the set of clubs that you really like and would love to be seen with. If you find a good set of clubs but they are ugly; if you really care about what you look like and you don't want to be made fun of, then I would recommend not getting clubs that are ugly or too weird. The clubs you end up with should be everything you want them to be. You shouldn't give up on one of the things you like in a club because you can't find it in any of the clubs that you like. Keep searching and eventually, most likely, you will end up with clubs that are perfect for you. When you size yourself up, you should look for clubs in your size and try out a set. If you like a different size of clubs you can begin looking for them, but if not then you can keep looking at clubs your size. When you hold your driver, the head of the driver should be about three feet out in front of you. If when you hold a driver and it is five feet out in front of you, then you definitely need to look at smaller sizes of clubs. One of the biggest factors of determining what golf clubs you will get is the weight of the clubs. Some people enjoy heavy clubs, because they believe it will be more powerful, but more and more each day people are choosing to buy lighter clubs because it is easier for them to swing and they can hit farther with the lighter clubs. If you are buying a new set you should try light and heavy clubs out, but don't just give them a swing! Burrow some from a friend or something and go out on the golf course and give them a try! Just because your friend loves them or a professional loves them, it does not mean that you will like them! Everyone has different tastes and you should always try out the golf club before you make your decision to buy the set. If you are a beginner golfer looking for some way to know how to choose your clubs...let me give you a tip. Buy some cheap set at first and until you know for sure that you want to become fully dedicated to golf. Then you can set out and start to look for better clubs. I still wouldn't buy anything extra expensive or nice in case you want new clubs the next year because you grew or something. When you are buying clubs you should get online and look up the clubs that you are interested in. Read the reviews of the clubs and also check the review of the rivalry club (if the clubs you have have rivalry clubs) because you may find that you like the other clubs better. Check the brand on all of the clubs that you buy. Many brands are cheap and are just out to make a quick couple hundred dollars, when others are really trying to make the best golf clubs for all golfers. Just because one club is more expensive than another club, it does not mean that the more expensive club is better! A lot of the time more expensive clubs can be found to be worse. Good luck on selecting your set of golf clubs! I hope you found some of these tips to be helpful!
