Poetry: Confused by love

Like a Summer Day

In she walked on a clear, summer day
into my life like a cool summer breeze
As I slowly got to know her
my feelings for her grew, like a
hurricane in the ocean blue
Yet part of me knows
that no matter what I feel
she would never feel the same for me
Yet here I try, try as I might
to remain friends with a woman
whom I adore more than she knows
Why I do this is beyond me
for God has a plan bigger than me.
