Eyes are windows to the soul and I admit I make sure I take the best care of them simply because they play an important role in affecting our appearances. Dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles give others a tired-impression and therefore I make sure to prevent them before the problems get out of hand. Most importantly, I am a firm believer that if we have good eye areas, it minuses at least 5 years from our actual age.
Since eye areas are vital in our overall appearances, I am willing to spend a few more bucks in getting the good products from the commercial market. Besides, a bottle can last for at least 6 months and it's not really expensive on average terms. Here are the items which I have tried over the years and found to be quite effective when compared to the others:
Day Time: Don't forget to protect your delicate eye areas with a SPF product as UV rays is a main factor contributing to aging. Both Kiehl's Protective Moisturizing Eye Gel SPF 15 Sunscreen and L'oreal White Perfect Deep Whitening Eye Protector (SPF 15) are really nice in the sense that you can either use it alone or under makeup. They are not greasy in texture and hydrate eye areas nicely and protect them from the harmful UV rays at the same time.
Night Time: I love to use eye creams with richer texture during night time as most of eye areas tend to be drier than the rest of face. Kiehl's Abyssine Eye Cream and Guerlain Success Eye Tech are good choices as they have moisturizing textures, yet, they get absorbed into skin fairly easily. They are all-in-one eye creams which are designed to fight the first signs of aging. I notice firmer, smoother and brighter eye areas after using them for awhile. If you want to enhance the anti-aging functions, you could also add an eye serum before applying the eye cream. The good ones discovered so far are Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (Eye Recovery Complex) and Regene Time Reverse Eye Serum (it's a Japanese brand). Since they have anti-aging functions in them, you will feel the "double effectiveness" using them before your eye creams.
Specialty Eye Masks: If we do facial masks on our faces, why don't we do them on our eyes once a week too? Regene Q10 Plazenta Repairing Eye Patch can firm up and moisturize eye areas instantly and brighten them in the long run. Indeed, Q10 is a hot ingredient in anti-aging products these days. Apivita Aromatherapy Express Eye Zone Mask with Ginko Biloba (it's a Greek brand) helps moisturizing eye areas and reduces fine lines. Spend just 15 minutes once a week and feel the differences they bring.
The products mentioned above can be found online. Do a search, read the detailed descriptions and pick something that suit your budget and needs. Don't expect they would do magic on your eye areas, there is no miracle when it comes to skin care or eye care. Be patient, take care of your eye areas constantly and you will gradually see the improvement.
