Snowboarding in Keystone, Colorado

Just an hours drive from Denver in the White River National Forest is where you'll discover snowboarding and Rocky Mountain paradise. You can explore the variety of slopes, table tops, spines and hips and practice your break-neck tricks.

Keystone resort has over 3000 acres of winter fun, with three awesome mountains and five fantastic bowls. There are runs with bumps and steeps for all skill levels, from professional blaster to the suicide jockey novices.

Durcum Mountain stretches 11,640 feet toward the heavens and has everything for the green-horn with a variety of beginner runs and also caters to the intermediate boarder and has been rated one of the ultimate top ten parks nation-wide.

North Peak is just a bit taller at 11,660 feet and offers more challenges for more advanced boarders. And is the place to go when you need to refuel your body with some good chow. The Outpost has several food choices including a food court.

The Outback is the third and tallest peak at 11,989 and has intermediate and black expert runs that accommodate advanced boarders looking to practice tricks, spice up your ride or improve your air riding expertise, so if your looking to ride freestyle or flatground the Outback can deliver.

When the sun goes down for the evening on Keystone you don't have too. Keystone has the largest night operation in the State of Colorado. You can board until late in the evening and inhale the brisk night air.

Keystone is home to the traditional Mardi Gras Street Party and Parade on February 05, 2008. Get in on the fun and craziness with revelers, skiers, and boarders all enjoying the wild winter celebration.

Scenic snow cat tours can be arranged on North Peak as well if you need a rest from jumping and grinding and just want to take in the majestic sight of the mountains. It's also training ground for the U.S. Ski Team.

Keystone has 20 lifts and 5 high-speed quads, night-boarding, 121 trails and 3,128 vertical feet and plenty of room for jibbing, jumping and crashing and burning. It just doesn't get much better then this!

Keystone is a great place to meet friends and plan family adventures, with plenty of clean white power to break your fall and something to entertain and challenge everyone.
