Rage in check for those I love
I love no one this way.
Grating words heard by no one
heard by all, grumpy they say.
Pungent smells of sulfur and of iron
flames that no one sees.
Torment in my minds dark shadows
the grumpy soul grieves.
See my fortune as a beacon
take care not to miss
Those who seem so happy
have in store a grumpy bliss.
Bliss that lulls and that teaches
to be kind but not today.
Grumpy embers mix with iron
glow and smolder tucked away.
Should you find a grumpy feeling
burning in another's soul.
Dowse the flame with a kind word
turn the grumpy heart to coal.
Rage in check for those I love
I love no one this way.
Grating words heard by no one
heard by all, grumpy they say.

Grumpy soul, grumpy mind
I'm very grouchy
and very tetchy.
Don't talk to me today
I'm in a mood, you could say
no trace of happy
