I would always hear religious fundamentalists talking about some eternal inferno where the wicked will be thrown to if they don't adhere to a particular GOD or SUPERNATURAL BELIEF. So, I would ask myself this question: What is really the true definition of HELL? Or, even more interesting to point out is the fact that millions of human beings (including myself) have already experienced hell right here on Earth! When fundamentalists try to shove their beliefs in other people's faces and attempt to scare individuals into thinking there's a huge figure somewhere with reddish skin, monstrous-like features, and goat horns on HIS head just waiting to make you suffer for infinity, then these holier-than-thou maniacs need to realize that HELL (what ever you might think it is or however you should define it) is right here on planet Earth, among the living!
You can't really scare people into being religious zealots that much if they are already suffering and living like DOGS already. Extreme poverty, illnesses and diseases that can be cured but can't because people don't have or can't afford health services, racism, sexism, homophobia, women facing domestic violence at the hands of their husbands/boyfriends, children growing up in broken homes, the rich get richer as the poor and working class gets stomped on, and the list can continue to go on and on. People are already having their HELL right here on Earth because of all these things that I just mentioned. And I'll go even a step further by saying that if a GOD/GODDESS really did exist in this universe, then why does HE (or it could be a SHE) allows all of this stuff in the world to happen? Why does this SUPREME BEING (whoever or whatever it may be) allows for those in power and privilege to treat those of us stuck at the bottom like we're subhumans and like we don't have a right to exist just as any other individual does on the face of this planet?
You want to tell me that I'm going to hell if I refuse to be a Christian (or believe in ANY religious belief for that matter.) Alright then, should I believe there's a monster with goat horns on his head, who wields a three or four-pronged pitchfork in his hands? I believe that Christians and Muslims use the name "Satan". I am correct, right? But there are other names as well: Beelzebub, Lucifer, the Devil, Angel of Light, Prince of Darkness, whatever. And like I have stated before in another article: RELIGION is something that is a man-made tool, designed to scare and control
