that their friends are just there for the Superbowl, birthday, or New Year's Eve countdown. Take the effort to put decorations up. You can find discount party supplies at party wholesalers like US Toy online, or through discount party supply outlets. You'll find theme decorations as well as solid-color streamers, tablecloths, and place settings. If you find the theme party supplies are overpriced, pick up a couple of colors from the decorations you like, and buy solid-color plates and tablecloths in those colors. They're less expensive than the theme supplies, and you can save your money for a few key decorations from your theme aisle.

Here's an example supply list from a recent luau birthday party I threw:
* Kahlua pork (pulled pork, slow-cooked in root beer)
* Several fruits diced into fruit salad
* White rice cooked in broth
* Chips and avocado dip
* Pineapple, grapefruit, and orange juice mixed with a bottle of rum for rum punch.
* A punch bowl and serving ladle
* Turquoise-blue plates and cups
* Vibrant green napkins and plastic silverware
* A pink plastic tablecloth
* Silk flowers and seashells glued to the tablecloth
* Flowered leies for all attendees
* A pink plastic flamingo (already owned)
* Pineapple upside down cake for the birthday party portion of the evening
* Three CDs of Hawaiian guitar music

Add a dozen hungry guests, and we had one heck of a fun time, and you can, too!
