What would you do without your best friend? This is the person that's always there for you. No matter what else is going on in the world and no matter how much everyone else seems that they're against you, your best friend is always in your corner. How amazing! How can you best honor this person that has been so loyal to you for all these years? Here are some gift ideas I'm sure your friend will love.
Personalized Items
What says "I value our friendship" more than a personalized gift? There are several personalized gifts on the market these days. First, you can go the not so technical route and make a scrapbook of your life with your friend. Include pictures, memories, and funny antidotes that the two of you have shared over the years.
You can also choose to go the more technical route. You can create a photo calendar. Choose twelve of your favorite pictures of you and your friend together. You can use Photoshop or you can go to a photo specialty shop to have them do this for you. Also,. They now have digital photo key chains and digital photo frames. You can purchase one of these items and download your favorite pictures of you and your friend on it.
Special Interests
You know what your friend likes better than anyone else. You know what type of music they like, what their favorite hobby is, or maybe a hobby they've been wanting to try. You know their taste in clothing and accessories. You know whether your friend likes to read, go on nature hikes, or enjoys a good glass of wine. From this information, you should be able to come up with some ideas based on your friend's interests.
Things To Do Together
Instead of actually purchasing a gift, you can treat your friend to a night out. Get tickets to a concert you know they'd love to see or to their favorite sporting event. You can also take your friend out to their favorite restaurant and treat them to a movie.
Things To Do At Home
Throw your friend a party. Invite all of his or her friends. You can also have a video movie night with your friend. Bring all of your friend's favorite movies and make popcorn.
Health and Beauty Products
Get your friend some relaxing bath supplies, accessories or lotions. You can also treat your friend to a makeover or a day at the spa. Yes, these things are more geared toward women, but it can be modified to suit a man. You can get your friend a membership to a gym, or if he already belongs to one, pay for a couple of months of his membership.
Flowers and Plants
This gift idea is solely geared toward women. I can't think of a better way to make a friend feel special than to give her flowers or a plant. Get a nice vase to go with the flowers or invest in a nice pot for the plant.
How is your friend's home decorated? Do you know what kind of wall hangings they might like? Unique candles are always a nice gift to give your friend.
The main thing to keep in mind when shopping for your friend is that because the gift is coming from you, they will love it. So, don't stress over it and trust your own judgment on what the perfect gift would be.
