With Friendship Day coming up this year on Sunday August 3rd, why not use it as the perfect opportunity to show your best friend just what her friendship has meant to you over the years?
Best friends are always there for us aren't they? They are with us through the good times and support us through the bad. How lovely it is to be given the opportunity to show just how much their friendship has meant to us over the years and buy something that reflects that appreciation.
Buying a gift for your best friend is one of the easiest things to do because you know her really well. You will be able to get her something that she has always wanted or take her totally by surprise. Whatever gift you decide on, she will appreciate the love and thought that has gone into choosing it and value it highly.
You want your gift to be perfect so the ideal thing to do is a little surfing on the web. There are many online gift sites that specialize in providing the right gift for that special person in your life.
I always feel that showing your appreciation to someone can be expressed really well by giving a personalized gift. A piece of jewelery, a nice watch or anything that will hold a small engraved message will be treasured for years to come. Be as cheesy as you like, best friends love it!
Sometimes you cannot put into words how you feel about your friend, and so a lovely gift could be a beautifully framed poem or inspirational verse, as a reminder of your special friendship. You can find this type of thing in many formats such as a picture frame, fridge magnet or a wallet sized verse that she can slip into her purse.
Another gift idea is to collect as many photographs depicting those special moments in your lives together. You could scrapbook the album, add your comments and make it a really nostalgic walk down memory lane for her. Try and find some images that she has never seen or forgotten about and add a nice poem or handwritten message.
A "best friend" book is lovely idea. They are full of poetry and inspirational verses that will be sure to delight and even raise a tear or two.
Do you remember the first time you met each other? A DVD compilation depicting the special events of that year would be an interesting and informative gift.
The best gift of all is doing something you have always done, and that is, spending time together. We have such busy lives now and our families seem to take every moment we have, so what could be nicer than setting aside the whole day and doing something special together?
You could take her shopping so that she can choose her own gift... and what about a movie and a nice meal afterward?
You can find a huge choice of "experience" days on the web and there is something to suit anyone. Often enough, you will find that it can cater for two people. This is the perfect opportunity to book in at a health farm together or try that thrilling helicopter ride. What about a spot of wine testing, or even a day out at a theme park?
Whichever event you choose for her it will be a lovely day out to remember and full of happy enjoyment, just don't forget to take the camera!
