The link between birth control and acne

There is a striking link with birth control and acne. Birth control is simply the control of pregnancy using different methods, procedures or ways: taking pills, using condoms, and other medications. In this article, I will be writing about the birth control or control of pregnancy that is carried out by the taking of pills: this is the one that has a link with acne.

Birth control done by taking pills seems to be very popular these days and this has led to questions being asked on why most people using this method do develop acne. Acne is simply a bad skin condition normally the presence of some ugly spots on the skin, giving the skin a bad look, structure or texture.

Most birth control pills as research has shown, contain biochemical elements that target the hormonal "assembly" or state of the person taking the pills. The biochemical elements are potent enough to alter the person's hormonal state by tempering with some hormones in the body. The body tends to react in order to annul or balance this hormonal change or change in hormones, and then the result is acne. Acne is just one of the things experienced, as research also tells us that some persons even experience so level of fatigue and etc.

We cannot really say all the birth control pills can cause any change in the hormonal state of a person. This whole experience depends on the person's body system as it the general occurrence varies among individuals. There have been cases where two different people used the same birth control pill to control pregnancy and just one of them experienced acne or skin problems. The whole thing about birth control and acne has a genetic connection. Some people's body systems are very receptive to these birth control pills and because most of them don't contact their doctor or clinician before taking these pills, they develop acne and other medical problems using it.

So the question is this: how will I know the birth control pill that will not affect my hormones the cause acne? Your doctor or clinician is in the best position to answer this question. There are cases where people developed acne using the birth control pill prescribed by their doctors, but with the awareness of this, doctors are more careful and do give prescriptions painstakingly.
