The signs that a spouse is being unfaithful are sometimes harder for women to see because we women tend to be a bit naive when it comes to love. At least, I was. Men, on the other hand, seem to understand that sex has little to do with love. To men, sex is more of an accomplishment and it's a challenge to them to see how many accomplishments they can achieve in one lifetime. Don't get me wrong. Not all men are the cheating kind. I'm sure this can be true for women too, but since I'm a woman who had a man that cheated on me, I'll write this article of mine through the eyes of a wife.

I'll list the signs, but first I'll describe what it's like when the cheater is caught. Most likely, the cheater will try to make you believe that it was an accident. "I didn't mean to cheat, but it just happened." I don't know why, but the wife in my eyes simply couldn't believe that he cheated accidently. To me, an accident means you'd be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's a twist of fate and too late to change that place in time. Infidelity obviously requires planning, so it never happens accidently. Commitment is a choice, and cheating means you've chosen to be unfaithful. To me, it's that simple.

They will also say that they never meant to hurt you. After all, an accident is no one's fault. In fact, you were the furthest thing from the cheater's mind when he accidently cheated on you, so don't take it personally. The only thing I have to say about accidental cheating is, "Whatever."

I don't know why he was so surprised when I filed for divorce. It was if he expected me to believe that of all the women in his life, I was his only wife, so I should be satisfied. What he didn't see is what cheating did to me and our family. When trust becomes a busted dream, a marriage will be damaged to say the least. Something is lost and can never be replaced. Some people are able to move on from the cheater's accidental mistake, but they never have blind faith again. Nothing hurts worse or takes longer to overcome than when you are cheated upon. It's a matter of self respect, and as for me, I had to leave in order to defend myself.

Please don't be naive like I used to be. If somewhere in the back of your mind you suspect the signs are there, then it's probably true and your spouse is cheating on you. Signs are fine, but how do you find proof? Just be patient, because you see, most cheaters end up admitting that they cheat. They'll confess by one of two ways, usually. Sometimes their conscious
