Childbirth: Techniques to improve and shorten labor

It would be great if we could go into the hospital, have a painless and fast delivery, but we all know thats not going to happen. But are there ways to get the painless and fast delivery we can? Many have asked this question and looked for the answer.

There are ways though to help the pain and maybe shorten the labor process. The most important factors happen during the span of your pregnancy. You should stay healthy. This will not only help the baby be healthy, but also could help you avoid unnecessary complications during the pregnancy and child birth. Your body needs more calories than normal while you are pregnant, but it needs healthy calories, not junk. Your body and your growing baby needs plenty of nutrition it can get by eating healthy. Drink plenty of water, fruit juice, eat plenty of veggies and fruit. This maybe hard but you can do it, just think about the unborn baby growing inside you.

Also, you need plenty of exercise. So many women think they cannot exercise because they might hurt the baby or that they might miscarry early on. I can tell you for a fact that his is not true. There are plenty of things you can do, a few good ones are walking, swimming, yoga, yes even erotic dancing. There are many websites or books and magazines that show different exercises for pregnant women. So if you don't know what kind of type to do look them up. Pregnancy takes so much out of your body, its important to keep in shape and keep healthy. Now you might think there is an exception for those of you that your doctor has put on bed rest but I have found a few exercises in books and websites that you can do, unless your doctor absolutely says not to. Always listen to your doctor first and foremost.

One activity that can help with the birthing process is visiting a chiropractor. This can get expensive though, so even if you can go just once a month, it will help. I have read up on this subject and talk to doctors. Throughout the pregnancy, you will have more energy, and have less aches and pains, and you wont have that uncomfortable feeling like most women do.I have recently started going and it has helped alot, also helps me relax. When it is time to deliver, you will be anxious to find out if all these adjustments will help any, I have heard they will. I have heard that it will lessen the labor pain and make the delivery process fast. But I am pretty sure that if you keep your body and mind healthy through this process, it will help drastically.

One thing I know has helped is red raspberry leaf tea, with no or little sugar added. The herbal tea is safe and helps tone and prepare your uterus for labor. The tea is safe to drink all though out your pregnancy but is hard to find, you will need to look into a health food store. I drank the tea though out my first pregnancy and I did not need any medication for the pains. I begin having real dull pain which I could barely notice and then the pain got little worse and coming more often. I went in to the hospital and I was 3 cm dilated. With in a hour an a half I was dilated to ten and ready to push. Let me tell you I didn't feel much pain compare to my other two. I didn't even use Tylenol. Plus I didn't really have pain after delivery either. I should haved used the tea with my other two but didn't. I paid the price for that- I had to have epidural with the last two and labor was 16hrs long. So from my experience and other moms experience the tea helped out a lot. But always remember try to keep calm and relax and breath.
