or is he just talking about himself? How balanced is the conversation? Make sure to ask him about himself, too; this way you can see if he changes the subject or seems to answer truthfully. Does he smile when he talks to you and does that smile reach his eyes? Yes, a strange question, but you can tell so much about a man when you watch their expressions.

How does he interact with others? This might be kind of tricky, because you may not get to see that at first, but it's important. A man can be really great with you, because he's trying to woo you, but he could be a real jerk otherwise. This is important, because it will show how considerate he is.

What's his deal? Divorced and kids, or never married? Or, worse, married and looking for a hookup (happens more than you know, ladies). Find out, because this can really be a deal breaker for a lot of women. See if you have similar situations or are at least okay with his (and he with yours).

Most of the rest is a matter of opinion. Do you want to be with a man who's stable, with a good job or are you okay with them struggling in an artsy career? Where do you want it to go and where does he want his life to go? Dogs or cats?

The key is connection. If you the two of you connect, then maybe you should date him (if, of course he asks, which of course he will). If he asks for your number, ask for his instead. If he willingly gives it to you, then it usually shows he's interested. Call him. Don't be afraid to, because it will help you to get to know him.
