This is a practical guide for every day people like you and I.

If a Zombie apocalypse happens, we will not see it coming. We will wake up one morning and BAM, Zombies. They may move slowly but they do not advertise their sudden and devastating appearance. So, do not depend on guns, flamethrowers or impenetrable defenses. Depend on your WITS. It is the only thing that will save you.

Follow Three simple rules to stay alive:

1. Move Fast
2. Think Quick
3. Don't go back for a friend

Okay, now the basics are covered, lets look in more detail at keeping you breathing and out of the clutches of the rotting dead.

Short Term Solutions:

If you wake up tomorrow and see Zombies, run like hell. They are relentless. They are vicious. They will eat you and eat your brains. They do not think like you do. They do not fear. All they do is eat the flesh of the living. Though for some reason, despite apparent low intelligence and voracious appetite, they do draw the line at Zombie cannibalism. So yeah, keep your distance and you will be okay.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are trapped in a Building/Plane/Boat filled with Zombies.You are probably screwed. But there are some things you can try to increase your chance of survival.

1.Find a weapon. Something that will keep a Zombie at bay or take off its head. Try things like, Fire axes, Harpoons, Garden Rakes, Baseball bats. Anything with length or a sharp edge. The trick is to pin it to something if you can, or take out its legs and/or head. Slow it down. Then look around to make sure the coast is clear, then take of its head. Never relax. Never forget to stay vigilant. Never turn your back on a Zombie (unless you are running like hell).

2. Find a way out. They must be a way out because you got in some how. Right? Okay. So remember how you got in. Good. Follow the shortest, safest path back to the exit. If it is a boat, get to the life raft, or swim like hell. If you are in a plane, either get to the cockpit and call for help or find a parachute and bail out. Zombies are wicked and lethal. But they cannot fly and do not like to swim. (They feel self conscious in bathing suits).

3. If there is no way out. Then you are screwed. So try to take as many of them out as you can. Just remember, you need to take yourself out, in a hurry, if you get bitten. Have a back up plan. It is better to die than to spend your unlife eating the flesh of the living.

Long Term Solutions:

Here is where it gets tough. If you think the whole world has been Zombified, you may need to find an island and start from scratch. They may or may not be a suitable attractive mate of the opposite sex. Just make the best of it and do what you have to do.

If you think the Zombie epidemic is localized, (ie you are at the epicenter of an ensuing Zombie apocalypse.)then you may be able to make it out alive and warn the world. Just remember, communications will probably be limited, they may have accidentally taken down power stations, radio/cell phone towers, as they rampage thoughtlessly around. It usually happens that way, you wait and see. Also remember, any radio signals you receive, from military checkpoints especially, will most likely have been compromised, so don't waltz into a trap. Always stay vigilant. Always be wary.

If you do escape the Zombie Zone, you will be faced with skepticism as you warn of impending Zombie doom. Stay firm. Present proof if you have. Do not give up. The world could be in your hands.

Stay Safe. Stay alive.
