Ah, the first dating years. High school dating can be fun, but after the initial dinner or movie, what other fun things can high school students do on a date? Here are a lot of ideas. Since a lot of times what you do on a date depends on the mood you might be in, I've put these date ideas into categories.

The Classics

You know what they always say: "A classic never dies". Besides the traditional dinner and movie, there are other classics that can be a lot of fun. Depending on the time of year, miniature golf is always a fun idea for a date. It's good for day or nighttime dating. Amusement parks or carnivals can also be entertaining and are great to go with other friends or couples. In the summertime, going to the beach is always lots of fun. Even in the spring, it might be nice to take a walk on the beach with a date. Picnics can also be fun and romantic outings. Though it may be more appealing in the summertime, going out for ice cream is a classic date that can be done all year round.

Traditional Active Dates

Roller skating and ice skating are two traditional more active dates that high school couples would have fun doing. Another active hot spot is the bowling alley. On a Friday or Saturday night, bowling alleys are full of teens! If you're in the mood for a day trip in the summer, another traditional active date is a water park.

Active And Not So Traditional

If you and your friend are interested in daily walking or jogging, this could be good quality time for the two of you to spend together and, of course, it's great exercise. A really different idea would be to find a fruit farm, such as an apple orchard or a strawberry field and pick your own fruit. It would be different, fun, and also romantic.

Another very different idea is Frisbee golf. Never heard of it? Well, it's pretty much what it sounds like. You go to a Frisbee golf park, usually located in a wooded area and the object is to get the Frisbee in the "hole" in as few throws as possible. The "hole" is a metal basket. Find a Frisbee golf course in your area by looking on http://www.pdga.com/course/. There are over 2,500 Frisbee golf courses in the United States, so chances are there is one near you.

Adventure

For the adventurous couple, here are some ideas, some more daring than others. Going on a hiking trail in a state park is a great way for you and your date to have plenty of time to talk, enjoy nature, and get exercise. You and your date could go to a go-cart track and ride the go-carts. A really
