Top Ten Successful Ways To Study

If you often times find yourself freaking out before a big math test, science quiz, or history
exam, then don't worry. You're not alone. Many people struggle with these jitters, and it's
completely normal. However, that still doesn't seem to help much when it comes to studying.
There are many helpful study techniques, and you will have to figure out which ones work

best for you. In order to help you do that, you may want to check out the following tips:

1. Never study a few minutes before a test. This will cause your brain to be crowded with
excess information and you will not be able to think clearly. Instead, you should always
study daily and especially the night before the test. Studies have shown that if you study
the night before and then fall asleep, your brain will be able to process the new information
and store it properly, giving you a better chance of scoring high on your test.

2. Find a place where you study well. Whether it is in the bathroom, locker room, or bed room,
it is highly important that you find a place that you can think and read clearly. By doing
so, you heighten your chances of retaining information.

3. Find out if you are a visual or an audio learner. If you are visual, you require an
analogy of what you are learning, such as a model. If you are audio, you learn best by
hearing something over and over again. By finding this out, you are able to use this
knowledge to your advantage.

4. Always take notes in class. Yes, we know it isn't fun, but it really does help. By
writing down what a teacher says, you gain two things: one, your mind is able to make connections
between what the teacher is saying and what you are writing, and two, you will always have
the main points of what you learned about recorded. From here, you can simply glance back
at your notes as you need them. You may even want to leave sticky notes around the house
with what you are studying written on them. By seeing them daily, you will begin to remember
with out them.

5. Don't overload your brain by studying for long periods of time. If you look at the clock
and realize that you have been studying for two hours, close the book and get outside. There's
only so much information that your brain can handle at a time. Don't over work it!

6. If you find that you are easily distracted while in class, ask your teacher if you can
move near the front. By doing so, you will eliminate any distractions that would normally throw you off focus.

7. If you often times find yourself
