Professional and do-it-yourself carpet cleaning options

If you want to regain that warm, fluffy feeling your carpet had when it was new, you'll need to do more than vacuum. Trapped-in soil will make your carpet look and feel dull and worn. The average replacement time of carpeting is twelve years. Without proper care and maintenance, expect your carpet to appear neglected in three to five years.

The Carpet-Rug Institute recommends carpet cleaning every year to year and a half. Cleaning your carpets will enforce the original protectant, make spills easier to clean, and vacuuming more effective. Not caring for your carpet could force you to replace it prematurely.
