Satellite Radio! It is here and long overdue. I am one of those that said I would never pay for bottled water.... i now do so regularly. I also said I would never have a cell phone; i use one daily and can't imagine being without one. I also said so about computers which have become a daily ritual in my routine. I also said I would never pay for radio; well, this christmas I did so and if you haven't yet; do so. All I can say is that is has fantastic sound; variety which is almost endless; and something that anyone can find what they like, whether it be music of any kind; talk radio; sports; news; weather and more! Only two choices, right now, both are good; just depends on what you like. Another nice thing; it is easily installed by yourself and/or professional installs are available if desired and the unit is also portable which allows listening in the car, house, and/or walking. The only limitations I found were the need for outside antenna when used in the house and the uncertain status of Sirius and/or XM and whether they will merge or not. Overall, satellite radio has been a pleasant experience and well worth the small expense.

I can't tell you how many times I have been on the road and especially in rural areas or remote areas; I felt like I was out of touch with the world! I was dying to know what my sports teams were doing; needed to find out weather conditions; or just plain wanting some decent music or entertainment besides a country or spanish station with intermittent static.
I mean, regular radio, was just too much of an effort with little or no rewards! Now that I have satellite radio; i have problems only in deciding what I want to listen to; not if I can listen to anything: big difference! I love classic rock; still live in the 60's and have several stations to choose from; i am an avid Cowboys, Mavericks, and Red Raiders fan and am able to listen to most of their broadcasts, as well as check on scores of other games. If I need to check weather and traffic, i do so; which can be a real help when on the road. I am simply to the point where I wonder how I got along without it; it reminds me of my first 8-track player in my car and the excitement and pleasure i received. Thank you, satellite radio for finally upgrading my car for entertainment through my radio.
