Women have used nose rings for centuries as a form of facial decoration, a practice that has been more common in some cultures than in others.
I would only want my wife wearing a nose ring if there was a piece of string attached to it, though it is more likely that I would be the one with the ring through my nose.
Why is it that I associate nose rings with animals? Isn't that how farmers led their cattle where they wanted them to go?
Nose rings are a form of facial decoration in much the same way as earrings but somehow don't have the same appeal. They do look very attractive on an Asian woman, complementing their style of dress and the cosmetics they wear.
As style goes, I can't see nose rings catching on, if you'll pardon the pun. In the western world, they have come to be identified with punk rockers, male and female who have rings through their nose, lips, ears, chin nipples and other unmentionables.

The rings themselves can be very pretty and dainty looking, some with colorful studs or beads. The fact that they are pierced through the tender little nose is the problem. Much as nose rings have become more popular, I would think they are more suited to farms animals, not for cosmetic reasons, but as functional. Perhaps some women would like to see nose rings for men, making it easier to lead them in the right direction.
A little tug when she spots her husband ogling a young attractive lady would be all that's needed to keep him on the straight and narrow. Think of the benefit when it comes time to drag him from the pub on a Friday night.
Yes nose rings have their place in society. Not sure though if that place is on the end of an attractive woman's nose.
