It may seem that the person you are looking to give a gift to has it all. The thing is though is that no one has it all; no matter how it may look. Therefore, take a good look at the person and see what it is that is missing. Is the person older and all his or her children grown and moved away? If this is the case, you could give them the gift of your time. Older people need help with many things that most people do not realize. Perhaps you can give the gift of your time and take a day to go and mow their lawn and tend to their flower garden. Older people sometimes have trouble physically doing some of these chores and you doing it for them would be a welcomed gift.
If the person is younger and has small children, maybe you can watch the children for free as your gift to him or her. This will give them a night out without the expense of a babysitter. Just because a person has it all does not mean they get the nights out without dragging their kids with them. Therefore, a night out without children would be a welcomed gift for this person. In addition, you will be giving them something they do not have.
For your friends that seem to have it all but are younger and childless, you can give them the gift of your time as well. Plan an escape for the two of you to just get away and spend that time together as friends. Your friend will welcome this get-away and cherish the time spent with you. It does not have to be anything expensive, maybe go around town seeing the museums. Or you can take a drive out of town and see some interesting sights that you both may like. It can be anything that allows the two of you to spend the day together away from the everyday grind.
Sometimes the greatest gift you can give a person is the gift of your time. It carries with it more value than any material object can. We all need help now and again and we especially need the ones we love in our lives. Sometimes the hectic day-to-day living gets in the way and we drift apart. So when you want to give someone who has everything a gift, give them the gift they need most; the gift of your time.
