Homemade cures for a hangover

The best homemade cure for a drunkenness by far, is an angry wife waiting at the front door with a rolling pin. It's an absolute miracle that defies natural laws to see a man instantly sober up the minute he catches sight of the dragon, also known as the wife.

A hangover is a different matter. A pounding headache is just one symptom that will remind you of the fact that you had just a little too much the night before. Social drinkers must believe drinking too much is worth the hangover it produces, because they tend to repeat the process with alarming regularity.

Ironically, a large percentage of regular drinkers probably don't realize they can actually drink alcohol in the same amount without having to suffer a hangover. Simply drinking a few glasses of water along with their alcoholic drinks throughout the evening and before going to sleep, will prevent the hung over feeling the following morning.

When you wake up with a hangover, number one, why didn't you drink water last night you buffoon?
Now that you're stuck with it, you want to find some quick remedies that don't involve a trip to the drug store. Before doing anything else, drink water. This will help to re-hydrate you as through your overindulgence in alcohol, you have become de-hydrated.

Drinking some tea or coffee with sugar will also help alleviate the hangover symptoms you experience as will eating a healthy breakfast. Try some fruit for breakfast, especially bananas.
The bottom line is, you got yourself into this fix and probably deserve the hangover you've got. Get up out of bed, go to work and get on with it. Eat and drink as normal and your hangover will pass, until the next time you decide to drink too much and forget your water intake.

The best cure for a hangover is actually to avoid having one, something anyone with an IQ below ten can work out. This does not necessarily mean abstaining from alcohol entirely, but can be achieved by eating while we drink, drinking water regularly during the evening and drinking responsibly.
All you have to worry about now is the dragon with the rolling pin.
