There are many ways to make money. Whether the money earned is used for getting out of debt or just saved for a rainy day, money is always useful. From assessing one's skills to finding a job, this article is a must read for generating ideas to make money.
DECIDE how many hours you want to work per week. Maybe evenings are better than mornings. Maybe weekends are better than weekdays. These are critical factors to consider when choosing a job.
WEEKEND work includes jobs such as: serving food, serving drinks, video rental store personnel, and movie theater cashiers.
WEEKDAY work includes jobs such as: babysitting, secretarial, janitorial services, and cafeteria help.
ASSESS your skills.
HANDYMAN: Are you Mr. Fix It around the house? Start up a handyman service. Many people need someone for light repairs.
HOUSECLEANING: Anyone can clean homes and most people are too busy with full-time jobs to take care of light cleaning such as vacuuming and dusting. Put an ad in the "Services Available" section of the local newspaper.
TUTORING: Many children need help with homework, as well as college students. Parents are willing to pay at least $10.00 an hour or more for a private tutor.
CLASSIFIEDS: Are you interested or able to work in manual labor, work in the food service industry, or work as a babysitter or sitter for the elderly? There is often readily available employment in these fields for part-time and full-time work in most towns and cities across the nation. Check the help wanted section in a local newspaper.
WRITING: Writing for on line sites is a great way to supplement an income. There are many publishers looking for writers. A simple search on line will produce a wealth of results.
INSTRUCTOR: Look up the local business section and see if there is an instruction school in town. Look for dance schools, drama schools, or art schools. If you have an area of expertise that you could turn into a class, you could quickly earn a paycheck. Community Education classes are quite popular at universities. Check with a nearby university for opportunities to teach.
WAITER/WAITRESS: This is a job for certain people. A waiter or waitress must be quick on their toes, a fast thinker, and possess the ability to keep numerous orders organized in their mind. High paying servers know the key is to give the customer what they want, be empathetic, and smile.
HOBBIES: There are many arts festivals and fairs where an artisan can sell his or her wares. If you have a craft that could be marketed, check into your state's artisan guild for membership qualifications and how to join.
These helpful ideas to make money will get you started on your way. Have confidence and that first paycheck will be yours before you know it!
