Homemade cures for a hangover

While having a drink or two is alright, overdoing it may case you to wake up the next morning with that not so good felling. As many of us like to party and have a good time consuming to much alcohol cases us to have a dreaded hangover. While the best thing to do is not drink to much so that you do not have to deal with the icky feeling the next day, sometimes we just can't help ourselves. We tend to consume a little to much alcohol for our own good and then when we wake up the next day, we ask ourselves, WHY?

There are some things that you can do at home to help ease the symptoms of a hangover. First off you should know that some alcohols tend to case worse hangovers then others due to the way they are made. It all comes down to the amount of impurities called congeners, that the alcohol has in them. For instance whiskey, rum, tequila and bourbon have more congeners in them then clear alcohols like vodka and gin.

It is important that you know there is no instead cure for a hangover. You have to wait it out until the alcohol is totally out of your system before you fell all the way back to normal. Drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated is the best thing that you can do. As you drink a lot of water you are pushing the alcohol out of your system as well.

While these home remedies for a hangover can help you feel a little better, you are still not going to be completely back to normal. They will give you a little relief from the dreaded hangover. Here are a few things you can try at home to relief your hangover a bit ....

* DRINK SODA *

Having a Coke or Pepsi will help alleviate some of the side effects a hangover causes. The fizz of the soda helps with the nausea, while the caffeine and sugar it contains helps you feel a little bout of energy. Many people feel that consuming caffeinated drinks only repeats the process of dehydrating your body it has always worked for me to help me get through the day after a hangover.

* DRINK COFFEE *

Coffee has the same effect on a hangover that soda does. it will help give you a bout of energy and will help you be able to focus a bit more. Although there are no bubbles in coffee if you drink it it will help with the icky feeling a hangover gives you.

* EAT A BANANA *

Bananas contain natural fructose, and potassium that you lose when you are drinking. It helps replace them and even contains magnesium which can help relieve the headache from a hangover. Bananas are great for nausea since they are a natural antacid.

* VITAMIN C *
