First-date safety tips for women

In traditional dating a man would pick the woman up at her house. He would arrive at the door with either flowers or a box of candy. From there they would leave her house and go on their date in his car. However, in today's society it is no longer recommended that a woman go out on a first date in this manner. The following will show how a woman should approach a first date so that an emphasis is placed on safety.

Instead of having the man pick you up at your house, you should drive to place on your own and meet him there. This will not only prevent him from knowing where you live but will also prevent you from being trapped in his car. All sorts of things can happen when a woman is at the mercy of a man in his car.

For safety sake, all first dates should be done and kept in public places where there are plenty of people around. All secluded places should be avoided during the first date. While a moonlit walk on the beach sounds romantic is it not the safety option for a first date. Even if there is an attraction between the two of you, he is still a stranger and you should be careful.

In today's society, almost everyone has cell phones, so give him your cell phone instead of your home phone. This will help to keep your address protected. A first date is a great way to get to know someone and see where things go. The thing is though is that there are many sick individuals out there that seem so normal. So do not give him any information that can lead him to your home address or work place. Until you really know this man, you have no way of knowing what his true intentions are.

Your drinks and food should be watched closely while on your date. If you leave, the table to use the restroom do so while you do not have food at the table. Never continue to drink any drink that you left unattended at the table. Countless women have been raped after drinking or eating something that their date had laced with a date rape drug. So play it safe no matter how nice he seems. If he is truly one of the nice guys, then he will not take offense to you being cautious. In fact, most guys seem to truly like girls that do have the clear sense to be cautious on a first date.
