I've loved playing Role Playing Games, or RPG's as they're more commonly known since Sierra released Leisure Suit Larry way back when. Instructing a little lonely man around my PC screen to find love and marriage was brilliant fun. Of course the graphics in the 80's were far less advanced as they are now, but it was still great fun.
Role Playing Games allow the user to become someone else. We get to lead a character into all different types of scenarios, whether it is to find love and happiness, become a skilled knight or king in a fantasy kingdom or to complete a specific task.
They test skill and knowledge and allow you to analyse situations to help your character achieve their desired result.
Since Larry, I've tried to find a RPG that is as much fun. Some have been PC games, others videogames played on consoles and others available on the internet.
Here are some of my favourite choices of RPG's available.
RPG's FOR PC
~The Sims~
Love them or hate them, make them cry or make them happy. This game is where you create a character, whether they are female or male. You can choose their type of career whether it be an office assistant or a burglar. Make your Sim happy, find them love and marriage and eventually a family. Create a house filled with fantastic furniture or whacky wallpaper and see if your Sim is happy with their surroundings. The Sims and its many expansion packs allow a lot of varied game play. For anyone who loves a good RPG game, The Sims is highly recommended.
~EverQuest 2-Rise of Kunark~
If you love fantasy RPG games, you will find Everquest the game you will love to play. You are a Sarnak, a dragon/human like creature that has been magically altered and exiled from your home. You need to learn and grow skills to eventually return to your home town and defeat the evil forces that have taken over.
If you like a RPG that is set up with quests to complete, Everquest is for you.

~Runescape~
I was a huge Runescape fan for a long time. I recommended it to everyone and it quickly became my RPG addiction. Set up within formats that request quests to be completed, you learn skills for survival to complete the desired quest. Hunt and kill monsters, cook food, obtain money and mine and smith your own weapons.
If you'd like to browse Runescape and test how you like it, you can join for free but with limited quests. If you become as addicted as I did, you'll soon be joining with a small monthly subscription fee, for endless quest and Runescape fun.
~Second Life~
