Six Must Haves for a Blow Out Bash

Everyone loves a great party! An even bigger hit is a great party host! These party tips are sure to make you the host whose house they all want to come back to. A great party doesn't have to break the bank or even take up a lot of your time. A great party just needs a plan and lots of fun and friendship.

A Good Game Plan: Every perfect party starts with a good game plan. It doesn't matter if you have a handful of people over for dinner and serve it on your good china, or if you meet your five-year-old's friends at the park for hot dogs on paper plates. What matters most is that you have a plan. You must know your objective and your budget, and the more guests you intend on inviting the more simple you need to keep it.

A Catchy Invitation: Your invitations should be exciting and fun. Under the same token, make sure you include all of the most important information, that is: Where, When, and Why. Also make sure that it is clear and easy to read, and for your own sanity put and RSVP with a phone number at the bottom.

Set the Mood: If you're having a small intimate party, candles are a great way to set the mood, and if your house is not so clean they will hide the dirt. If you are having a bigger party a theme is the best way to set the mood. It can be a very simple theme like a barbecue or tropical luau. If you have any trouble with this at all, just type party themes into your web browser and you are on your way.

Have a Conversation Peace: A conversation peace is some item or food that will spark up a conversation during those first awkward moments. If it is just a basic dinner party, buy some interesting flowers or pick up a roving work of art from the local library. If you are having a barbecue the grill will usually suffice and if you have a luau you can pick up great little dancing hula girls at just about any party store.

Entertainment: Many times people will start talking when they arrive for the party and just hit it off right away and before you know it its one in the morning and time to go home. In the event that this does not happen at your party, you need to have a couple of cards in your back pocket. This could literally be a deck of cards, or there are some great trivia games out there. Have a couple of good movies on hand in the event that you are stuck with a small crowd and no conversation. If you are really brave there is Karaoke or hey how about the limbo. Kids games are necessary too. I have had great success
