Poetry: Superstition

Not superstitious? I bet you are! I know
I surely am by far!

When you think you really don't care, the
possibility of the outcome can instill
fear.

A black cat crossing your path, makes you
consider the aftermath.

A ladder sitting out today, bet you'll walk
around it anyway.

A penny lying face down, I know it will be
left there on the ground.

Friday the thirteenth, to ignore it would
take a lot of strength.

It doesn't matter who you are, knowing that
you might suffer the consequences will
leave an under lying scar.

Just the slim possibility, always crosses the
minds of you and me.

Bad luck is something I intend to try and keep
away, so I'm cautious everyday.

Seven years of bad luck, no thanks, I don't think
I'd like to be struck.

So just beware of what you do, bad luck could always
strike you.

Superstition plaques us all, it is a warning, so heed
the call.

Remember the things we can control are the ones that
we all know.

So don't cast caution to the wind, put the chance of
bad luck to an end.
