The cruelty of Henry VIII

Are you sure that Nenry VIII was any worse than anyone else. You say that he was worse than he had to be but sometimes kings are gonna get themselves if they don't do it first. The Bastile ended up being torn down because of the fear that those entering would exit-in two pieces. Pour Louis VI that hadn't hurt a fly got blamed for it.

The Hapsburg rulers were causing all kinds of wars, as virtuous as they tried to look they caused lots of death. Charles X called Francis a libertine but was that worse than the wars the emperor waged allover Europe?

He was pretty nice to his girlfriends and mistresses and some of his wives. He gave them jewelry, gowns, pets, and furniture they say. And he gave Anne Boleyn some houses. He went to great expense to send her a more humane executioner. They said they had one that was going to pretend to do it and then another took off his shoes and snuck up behind. Pretty clever! I doubt that execusioners on their own would think of that.

And he did lots of good works in his early days. He wrote a book Called 'Defense of the seven sacraments' when he was like 20. He had his last rites in Catholic ritual, meaning he always believed in God in his heart.

His own children that followed him were pretty dang jerky. Edward VI, aw, the poor Little boy, in his diary on the day his guardian got the axed said "Master Seymore was executed today. He agreed to a scheme to disinherit his sitters that led to giant blood shed. And remember Bloody Mary? Well she would probably have been even bloodier if she had lived longer. She is called that because she burned 300 Catholics but she sent many more 'for mercy' to the block and hanged big bunches of then. Elizabeth was said to be the virtuous one but her executions Exceeded Mary's and she was jealous, flirty and petty.

Like father like Kids? like father like both parents, possibly. Maybe, Mary is rather a cross of Henry and Katherine Aragon, Elizabeth's coquetry but cruelty a mix on Henry and Anne, and we don't know either about Edward or Jane to compare. They all had there cruel tendencies, to survive, but maybe that's why we remember them.
