People do not always work more for extra money. It would be a nice thought but it isn't fact. Many people have callous stained fingers and holes in their shoes. They work an honest day's living on farms and rarely see a penny profit. The world can be a cruel one. Making money doesn't always mean that you are earning it.

In most states, minimum wage is less than six dollars an hour. These are our cashiers, burger flippers, and basic blue-collar folks. In most cases, the job that they are doing should be paid much more. Many people settle for low paying jobs and hard work because it is all they can find. The jobs that actually require work do not pay much at all.

In most cases, you can be promoted in a company but it doesn't always happen. Sometimes, it is easier for the manager to just give a raise than a promotion. This way, they know they are still getting quality work without worrying about a replacement. Many people are satisfied with a ten-cent raise on the dollar. It is better than nothing is.

I have noticed in general that the cushy management positions usually go to friends or family members of the people on top. For some reason, children fresh out of high school end up supervising many adults who have had the same job for years. The supervisor does little work and gets double the pay.

People who are in higher positions generally delegate their responsibilities out. They have the power to pick and choose what tasks they will complete on their own and what they will put on someone else. Many people work dead end jobs picking up other people's slack just so they can make ends meet.

I will agree that there are some jobs that require a lot of studying and hard work through college to obtain. I also believe that the lowest paying job based on duties is the nursing profession. Although there is good money to be made in the healthcare profession, the hands on jobs are the ones that pay the less.

I now some people who have never worked a day in their lives. They draw checks from the state that amount to more than people with a minimum wage salary make it in a month. It is not fair at all. You do get money for hard work but it is never enough. Many have to struggle and budget just to make it. Those that do nothing always seem to be doing better.
