So the kids want to go to Disney and you can't afford it. Don't be ashamed "the happiest place on earth" may also be one of the most expensive. There are many timeshare tour promotions that can reduce the cost. The basic set up is you come to a 90 minute tour of a property while they try their hardest to get some money. They will make good on their promises if you stay until they're finished. If you don't show up for the meeting or stay for the whole thing they won't give you anything. There are ways to end these meetings quickly.
It comes naturally for me to try to make my daughter happy. She is my only child and it's safe to say she might be spoiled. So after a relentless barrage of pleading and crying, I decided I would have to take her to Disney. When I first started planning our trip, I almost canceled it several times because of the cost. Through time I managed to get discounted airfare, lodging, and car rental if I just showed up to a sales appointment for a timeshare in Orlando. I figured that an uncomfortable sales meeting would be worth the money I would save. After these arrangements were taken care of I figured I could spend the money I saved on tickets to Disney. Once again I was surprised to see how expensive it was. So off to another timeshare website and another tour. I soon realized that if I wanted to enjoy this vacation I would have to find a way to get through these appointments quick.
These sales meetings aren't necessarily bad if you're looking to buy a timeshare. I personally will never set foot in the Orlando area again after my daughter is no longer interested in Disneyland, so buying a timeshare there is completely pointless for me. My idea of a good time is camping in solitude somewhere and Disney is the opposite of a relaxing vacation for me. So here are a few things I realized I could do to get through these sales appointments a little bit faster than the 90 minute requirement. The timeshare companies will still pay what they promise if you show up. First I would suggest not showering before going. Florida is hot so it won't be a problem to smell bad, remember this guy sees some nasty people so you have to smell bad. I also told my daughter that rules don't apply when inside the sales office. The first time I told her this we were done with are 90 minute meeting in 35 flat. If you aren't as bold as I am another method is to bring a bank statement showing that you are as poor as you say. You can get creative with this, I like to put my self in the sales persons position and think what can I do to make this person not want to talk to me anymore.
