There's hope on this planet of sorrow
As long as we hear the birds sing;
There's hope for a brighter tomorrow
Arriving like blossoms in spring,
With the peal of significant triumph
Of liberty high on the wing.
There's hope on this planet of mourning
As long as we heed the sad cry
Of those now afflicted and groaning
Before they tragically die,
When sadly their pains become ours
As we consciously not pass them by.
This wide world is full of the blessing
Of lovers who'll always be there
With hearts that keep on progressing
To ease the pains of despair,
To lift up the fallen, downtrodden,
And take up the challenge to care.
There's hope in this world of disorder,
As long as flowers must bloom,
There's hope as horizons get broader,
In spite of the ominous gloom,
Within the fair limits of justice,
Outside the realm of doom.

An evil thought goes through my head
I think about the fight we had

waiting for the phone to ring, ready to die.
The stomach tosses and turns
Where is this place called Dignity
Where is this place called dignity?
There was a time I thought I knew
with certainty,
yet
