Tips for using a tanning bed for the first time

If you are craving sun-kissed skin that says, "I just vacationed in St. Thomas," consider indoor tanning as a more natural and healthier alternative to baking beneath the fiery sun. Although, any darkening of the skin is consequently causing irreversible damage, you may still tan in a controlled environment, thus, reducing the harmful effects of UVA/ UVB rays.

The Benefits to Indoor Tanning
Although, both indoor and outdoor tanning have the same concept, tanning indoors allows you a multitude of cosmetic and safety advantages. With a tanning bed, you are in control of your exposure to ultraviolet light and, therefore, decreasing your chances of burning. It is virtually impossible to fall asleep in a tanning bed, whereas, catching some rays poolside tends to send sun lovers off to dreamland. Sounds appealing, until you wake up to discover the woes of painful blisters and skin that resembles a red lobster. A safer bet is the tanning bed which offers a timer that may be set to your desired length of time. Not only do tanning beds offer timers, but the latest technology brings you beds that are offer more protection for the skin. Another incentive to visit an indoor tanning salon is the availability to tan any time throughout the year, rain or shine. This is fantastic for avid tanners that desire a golden tan during the gray winter months.

Getting to Know the Beds-
Many tanning salons offer a variety of lay down and stand-up beds to keep up with their competitors. The tanning industry is constantly offering new lotions, beds, and spray-tans. The lay down beds are more comfortable than standing up and resemble a warm coffin with cooling fans that often provide you with a head pillow and music for entertainment. Stand-up beds are similar to a toasty, confined chamber with cooling fans and, once again, feature optional music to help pass the time. The advantage of a 'stand-up' bed is more even coverage. I suggest rotating between the two booths to achieve a nice evenly based tan.

1. Ergoline Tanning Systems-
Ergoline tanning beds pamper you with optional facial tanners and a light aqua mist to cool the body and eliminate any lingering odors from the tanning bed or lotion. The aromatic mist is rejuvenating after achieving a balanced, bronze tan.

2. Future Sun HP by Advanced UV Light-
This German manufacturer has designed the ultimate bed with built in air conditioning, separate facial tanners with adjustable settings and has appeared in Allure, Vogue, Instyle, Us, Self, and
