There is only one strategy you need to adopt to be able to earn money online. In short, you need to prepare yourself to put in the time necessary to learn what will be the best opportunity for you, and then learn how to do it until you have the required skills to earn good money at it.

This applies to every area of working online. I'm a full time writer, and I set out with the purpose to one day be earning enough to work from home, full time, and not have to rely on anyone else anymore for my wages.

That was my purpose. It took a lot of hard work to get to this stage, but every bit of effort was worth it. Can I tell you how many writing jobs I applied for before I finally got one? I can't honestly remember, but it was a lot.

BUT... I was prepared to keep going until I made it. I took the opinion that if I gave up, I would always be working for someone else. If I kept going, I might have to keep working for someone else for six months, a year, ten years even... but I would get what I wanted eventually.

This is what most people don't seem to understand online. I'm sorry if that's a little harsh, but it's true. No other job will pay you thousands of dollars for doing nothing, so why do people expect any online job to do exactly that? It simply doesn't make sense.

If you work hard - just like you would at any other job - and you persevere and you tell yourself that you are NOT going to give up, then you can expect to start seeing some cash coming in.

And let me tell you, the darkest moment really is just before the dawn. That moment when you get frustrated and want to jack it all in... that's when you need to keep going! Because you're nearly there, and you're about to change your life.

So the most effective strategy I know of to make any real money online is to get out of your own damn way and stop ruining things! You CAN do it. Anyone can do it - but you need to put the effort in. Where do you want to be this time next year? Still not making any money online and still not doing anything about it? Or starting to see real results that will last, because you put the time and effort in and you now have the knowledge to take things to the next level?
