Eradicating problems and obstacles in your daily life

There was a time when I was fed up with the way my life was going. At every turn I ran into a stumbling block, and I was becoming an angry and frustrated young man. It was on one of those days that I sat on the battered sea cliff unconsciously watching the fishermen set out for sea at dusk. As I mused at the fishermen gearing up to take on the might of the sea, somewhere in the back of my head I began to understand something about life. I saw how those men respected (feared) its awesome power, but sheer determination drove them on in their wee little boats. Then when night cloaks them both in its heavy blanket of darkness, the men light their beacons and set their compass, and wrestle with the mighty ocean till the break of day.

I realized that life is simply the pathway we travel each day. Each day we venture out with an eternal hope of finding life's secret door to even more life. Though this trek is a daily one, it somehow never seems to be the same. Each day is but a new day; each moment is actually a new encounter with life itself. Indeed yesterday's obstacles often become today's stepping stones, and today's problems evolve into tomorrow's solutions. "Life is just for living! Life is just for living!" What a song!

The view from the summit of a rugged mountain (looking down) is exhilarating. The view from the base of that mountain (looking up) is daunting. Surely the mountain has the same obstacles and problems, but the angle from which it is view makes a lot of difference.

Daily life is no different; we can look at each situation that confronts us from varying angles. We can take the pessimistic view that trying to overcome life's troubles are too daunting, and just throw in the towel. Just live on the fringe convincing yourself that what ever happens happens, you can't be bothered. What's the use of trying, when you are going to fail anyhow!

Perhaps you may want to choose the optimistic view that something better is on the side of this situation. Then gird up your pants, and forge your way through against the tide of onlookers and nick pickers. Live with the conviction that what ever happens happens only for your good, so it's worth fighting on. Step on every obstacle with the determination that you intend to conquer it!

Nowadays I see my daily life as an adventure. Here are some tips I discovered that can help to eradicate some of the obstacles and problems you meet.
* See the obstacles and the problems as mysteries that have to be solved and terrain that needs to be explored.
* Don't waste your energy complaining and fretting, the obstacles will still be there when you have finished.
* Spend some quality time with yourself and your Maker reviewing strategies for living
* Always remember that Today is NOT Yesterday, so extend your hope to Tomorrow
* Stumbling will occur at some point so don't be disappointed just smile and go again
* Should you fall flat on your face, just bite the dust. You may need to take a different angle
* Document your efforts [let others know how you won or lost each battle you faced]
* What ever you do this is your only opportunity at life, so enjoy what it has to offer!
