...Put to Sleep the Stars...
More tears than there are for me to cry
Is less than how much I love you.
More stars than there are in the sky
Is less than how much I love you.
If there were a moment in time
To define my love
Creation would be that moment.
My love holds worlds within its grasp
As I hear angels sing in your heartbeat.
The song that sweeps across the universe and puts to sleep the stars
I know within your heart.
The melody that gods hum
The song the wind is whistling
The very lullaby that sweeps across the universe
And puts to sleep the stars.
When the sun sinks into the ocean
And the moon rises from the sea
Sweetly singing sirens
Ignite the candles in the sky
And ghosts dance under candlelight.
Was there ever a memory before you my love?
Gods and angels gently hum
The melody of your beating heart
Beauty did not exist
Until they saw it through your eyes.
The stars, they have seen more than an eternity
Their wisdom knows no bounds and yet
Did they love before laying vision upon your soul?
Naught so for love was no emotion until the world
It knew your name.
Your very name is Love.
Such a precious gift
This ability to love
And if my love were a silver line of thread...
It would wrap around this universe more times than gods could count...
I see within your arms
Nirvana
Hold me only moments longer
And everything can melt away.
All that holds my senses
The harmony of your soul
The lullaby that sweeps across the universe
And sings to sleep the stars
The song within your beating heart.
Such a gentle, simple thing
To love
But there is such strength behind feeling
And I cannot let go my love for you.
Would that I could
For naught will I let that happen
Unrequited love is a beautiful sadness
And my love is lovely.
I would whisper kisses upon your lips
To feel you turn my skin to silk under your finger tips
Moments past and moments shared
Treasured memories
More precious than any jewel.
The sun paints the sky with color
Every set and every rise
I long to see that painting reflected
Within the ocean of your eyes
Every day and every night...
I simply yearn to gaze into your eyes
You are so beautiful
It hurts my soul that you do not know
Do not understand
What do I wish of you
Nothing more my love than for you to realize
To me your heartbeat is the most beautiful song
That I have had the pleasure of feeling in my soul
It is the melody that gods hum
The song that angels sing
The lullaby that sweeps across the universe
And puts to sleep the stars
It is your beating heart.
The sun rises to your beauty
And on the other side of this world
It sets the same way.
What words are there to hold this meaning
The pain in the heart of my soul
You are my heart
And I never knew.
One day you will hear it
The song that sweeps across the universe
And puts to sleep the stars...
At least I know it
In my heart
And for longer than eternity will last...
Is less than how long I will love you.
