To host a party that everyone will remember having a good time at is a job that sometimes can't be taken lightly. I get stressed when it comes around to my turn to entertain people. When I go to a party whether it be for my kids or adult themed parties, I am impressed by how it all gets done. I have broken down the basics of keeping all the tasks in check, take a deep breath and bring your game because the atmosphere starts with you.

Kids: Decide on a theme. It doesn't matter if its a birthday, holiday
or graduation. You could choose what is the current trend like
Sponge Bob or Bratz. And Barbie is still a safe choice. But
remember once you decide on a theme, you have to stick
with it. If this is your first party to throw, I would just go with
a color scheme. Its pretty general and cheap.

Adult: The same advice goes for those parties aimed for adults.
football teams, Jewelry, or even a Tupper Ware party. Decide
on the topic and start the list of what you would let to get.
Once again, just choosing two favorite colors(Like team colors)
are a safe and affordable.

A Luau party is a fun party to have for a kid or adult. Its a
nice break during those winter months after the holidays to
get people thinking about summer. Grass skirts, coconut drinking
cups, leis, and playing limbo should lift party goers out of a cold
slump.

What to have at your party:

Invitations: You don't have to have these professionally done. If you are
into scrap-booking, you may have all the material to do them your self. A
hole puncher, some ribbon and construction paper can make wonderful
invitations and it gives a personal touch.

Decorations: It all up to you on how far you want to go with decorating,
or what your budget will allow.

*Balloons, streamers, confetti are less expensive and can be purchased
just about any where. Wholesale might save you money if you buy in
bulk for these items. And if you don't use them all at this function
you could always use them for a different party.

*Disposable cameras. You put one on every table and let the guests take
your pictures for you, and they are much better because they are
not always posed.

Food: Remember to keep things simple and choice food that are a common favorite for
a lot of people, especially kids. You might have a hard time getting kids
to eat tofu or sushi. Just because you think its delicious doesn't mean
others will. Unless it is specified on the invitation that that your party
theme is exotic foods from around the world! If that's
