Reflections: Visitation by spirits

Visitations from spirits is called mediumship. This is practiced as proof of our continued existence in Spiritualism churches around the world. The more we understand the afterlife of spirit, the more we recognize the abilities to communicate with those we have left behind on earth.

Each week a medium is impressed with the loved ones and their state of life in the afterlife of others' loved ones. The proof is in the history or experience each person has shared with their own loved one.

Mediumship is practiced as an attunement process between the medium on earth and the spirit entity that comes to communicate. This is called working with your own spirit guides to bring about the communion of spirit.

The more a medium attunes with spirit, the stronger the connection becomes and the more people can be reached with the skills of mediumship. Spirit contacts confirm the continued existence of their soul. They communicate the conditions they have found and there are no contradictions in their information.

One of the most comforting of all aspects is, We Will Meet Again! In the fullness of our lives, we, too, will go on in spirit form. Those who have gone before prepare a place for us and meet us on our arrival to help us acclimatize to a new adventure called spirit life.

In the book Hello From Heaven, Bill & Judy Guggenheim coined the phrase After Death Communication (ADC) for all the visitations that were recorded in various manner in the book. Mediumship was not a phenomena of these visitations and as a matter of course, they saw it as a new field of research addressing ordinary people who had extraordinary experiences with their deceased loved ones. It confirms that life and love are eternal.

Communications are about the number of people who have communed with their loved one, after passing. There is comfort and solace in the fact of continuous existence of the loved one.

Love is the glue that binds the universe on both sides of the veil, the earth life to the spirit life. When we open to communication, we can confirm in our own consciousness the existence of those who have continued their journey in spirit.
