Title : Oh those devilish thoughts!

Have you ever wondered about all those thoughts that keep crossing your mind? There you are, in the middle of an important meeting, fully focused on the issue being discussed and bam out of nowhere pops a thought, "I wonder if the boss has ever considered shaving his moustache? Won't he look just so cute without them?"

And you can't help but wonder where the hell these thoughts are coming from. There are all kinds of thoughts that keep crossing your mind good ones, and downright evil ones. But the most interesting ones are like the ones in the above example I like to call them the devilish ones! Now, it's interesting to note (you might already have observed it), that the word devil seems to come between the words good and evil. Another interesting observation is that the entire word evil appears and only the letter "d" of the word good appears in it. I guess that shows the path that these thoughts are usually taking us to!

One funny thing that I've observed about these thoughts is that they are pretty quick! They seem to come out of nowhere and lodge themselves in our mind. I remember when I was a kid; I accidentally broke my contact lens. Now, my winter vacation was starting next day and the devil appeared in my head in an instant, "Why don't you tell your parents about the lens after the vacation?" The entire event happened in an instant and I was left zapped by the speed and efficiency of these thoughts. It's another matter that I acted on these thoughts and went about with just one contact lens for fifteen days! Also, I got caught eventually (on the 16th day) and can never forget that day for the rest of my life!

That leads to my next point about these devilish thoughts. When do devilish points become evil? According to me (and this is entirely my own personal theory), if we act upon these thoughts, they could become good or evil depending on the thoughts. If they turn evil and you get caught doing them (just like I did), they turn downright evil! Yes, they can turn into something good too. For example, regarding those thoughts about your boss if you communicate your feelings to him, and he ends up shaving his moustache well, that will be a good thing, don't you think?

Jokes apart, these thoughts and feelings are very real. And, whether these thoughts turn good or evil depends upon what action we decide to take. Sometimes, no action is the best action! Let me give you another example. Last weekend, I wrote a post for
